New casting announced for Disney's Aladdin in the West End

New casting has been announced for the West End production of Disney's Aladdin.

Matthew Croke will take on the titular role replacing Dean John-Wilson, who opened in the production last year. Croke's previous theatre credits include Annie Get Your Gun (Crucible Theatre), Singin’ in the Rain (UK tour), and Funny Girl (Menier Chocolate Factory). Croke will take over the role from 5 June.

Jade Ewen will continue as Jasmine and Trevor Dion Nicholas will continue in the role of the Genie, for which he won the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical.

Nick Cavaliere will join the cast in the role of Iago, while Miles Barrow will play Omar, Leon Craig will play Babkak and Daniel de Bourg will play Kassim. Don Gallagher and Irvine Iqbal will continue as Jafar and the Sultan respectively.

Further new casting includes Chanelle Anthony, Danny Becker, Cindy Belliot, Filippo Coffano, Nolan Edwards, Sinead Kenny, Travis Kerry, Dann Kharsa, Tarisha Rommick, Joshua Steel, Monica Swayne and Niko Wirachman.

The remaining cast includes Arran Anzani-Jones, Albey Brookes, Lauren Chia, Bianca Cordice, Cavin Cornwall, Melanie Elizabeth, Kade Ferraiolo, Antony Hewitt, Mitch Leow, Oliver Lidert, Ian Oswald, Kyle Seeley, Sadie-Jean Shirley, Ricardo Spriggs, Kayleigh Thadani and Jermaine Woods.
