Jason Manford cast in The Producers UK Tour?

The comedian has revealed plans to appear in the UK National Tour of Mel Brooks’ comedy musical

According to the Daily Mirror, Jason Manford has revealed that he is set to star in the upcoming UK tour of Mel Brook's The Producers.

Manford's recent work has included hosting Sunday Night at the Palladium last night as well as currently being on tour with his comedy show First World Problems. He has previously appeared on the West End when he took over the role of Pirelli in the London revival of Sweeney Todd for a limited period in 2012.

As previously announced by WhatsOnStage, tickets for the tour are now on general sale, with full casting yet to be confirmed.

The Producers opens in March 2015 at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley and will continue to run until June 2015.
