Chichester Festival Theatre's track record of bringing musical revivals to the West End looks set to continue, with their production of The Pajama Game heading to the Shaftesbury Theatre next April, according to the Daily Mail.

Richard Eyre's production, which ran in Chichester Festival Theatre's Minerva space from April to June earlier this year, will be the next in a string of West End transfers for the venue, including Singin' in the Rain (which is also currently on tour), Sweeney Todd and Kiss Me, Kate.

Adler and Ross's 1954 musical is based on Richard Bissell's novel 7½ Cents and is set is a pajama factory, where love blossoms between two of the workers. It was last seen in the West End in 1999 directed by Simon Callow. The Chichester production starred Joanna Riding, Hadley Fraser and Peter Polycarpou.

Casting for the transfer is yet to be announced, but Riding is starring in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Stephen Ward which opens at the Aldwych Theatre in December.

The Pajama Game will replace Tim Rice's musical From Here to Eternity, which opened earlier this year.

The Pajama Game tickets are due to go on sale soon. To receive an alert as soon as they do, and to register your interest for a possible WhatsOnStage Outing to this show, please email
