Simon Russell Beale: 'Shakespeare's work is here to stay, we should do what we want with it'

We spoke with the actor, as well as Mark Quartley and Sarah Ellis, to find out more about the RSC’s unique production of ”The Tempest”

We sat down with Simon Russell Beale (Prospero), Mark Quartley (Ariel) and Sarah Ellis (Head of Digital Development, RSC) to chat about the Royal Shakespeare Company's latest production of The Tempest.

The production is a collaboration between the RSC and Intel, in association with The Imaginarium Studios, and uses cutting-edge motion capture technology.

Quartley will be wearing a motion capture suit live on the RST stage and will control the movements of his digital Ariel.

The Tempest runs at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre until 21 January 2017.
