Mei Mac is a British East Asian actress who has been active in theatre and television.

Recent stage appearances include My Neighbour Totoro at the Barbican Theatre. Mac starred in the stage adaptation of the beloved Studio Ghibli film, produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) in both 2022 and 2023. Her performance received acclaim, contributing to the show’s success. She has been nominated for both WhatsOnStage Awards and Olivier Awards, and was part of the cast of “My Neighbour Totoro,” which won the Olivier Award for Best Entertainment or Comedy Play.

Other credits include The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Call the Midwife, untitled f*ck m*ss s**gon play, with Mac’s first theatre role in the role of San in Whole Hog Theatre’s stage adaptation of Studio Ghibli’s Princess Mononoke.
