The Sam Neill Experience: A Dance Musical

About the Show

A play following a fictional Sam Neill’s adventures with wine, dogs, disco, and invisibility

The Sam Neill Experience: A Dance Musical is a brand new piece of musical theatre comedy written by Gregory Akerman and Ian Bowkett. It stars Naomi Gray in the title role and features an extensive score of original songs. Confused audiences will groove along with Sam as he attempts to prove to the dance-obsessed younger generation that he truly is the superstar films such as Jurassic Park, Event Horizon, and Hunt for the Wilderpeople have shown him to be. Due to budgetary constraints, this production does not feature the actual Sam Neill OBE. However, the great actor and winemaker has promised the production team that he won’t sue over the obviously fictitious portrayal of him as a person who cannot dance, confirming that he is “very non litigious”.
