With shades of Wood and Walters, this singer-songwriter/actress duo won the Brighton Fringe Cabaret Award with their first outing The Unbearable Pleasure of Being a Woman. Their latest hilarious musical cabaret Crash & Burn takes the audience on a turbulent ascent and descent through the highs and lows of womanhood. Passive-aggressive flight attendant McDonald and control-freak pilot Eden embark upon a hilarious and moving musical journey. Being female can be an unbearably silly business on this oestrogen-driven emotional roller-coaster ride from pigtails to puberty, stilettos to strollers, marriage to messing it up. With candid, poignant and irreverent original songs with titles as intriguing and worrying as I Wish You Had a Penis, Ikea, Andrex Man and Great Big Period Pants, Crash & Burn is entirely the creation of singer/songwriter (and long-term mentor to Sam Smith) Joanna Eden and West End and National Theatre actress Leigh McDonald.
This event takes place at Camden Comedy Club, upstairs at The Camden Head, 100 Camden High Street, NW1 0LU
