Coronavirus – A Great British Farce

About the Show

Coronavirus – A Great British Farce is a laugh-out-loud satirical comedy designed for audiences as a purging of the crazy times we’ve been living through. This dark comedy is inspired by the writer’s ridiculous lockdown diary entries and should help us all laugh away the lockdown trauma. The play takes place in a tiny flat, where Joe lives alone. One day, whilst trying to make sense of the pandemic by watching a government briefing on TV, he decides to answer back. This sets off a surreal conversation between Joe and… The Prime Minister? Or may be it’s his Facebook friend? Or… Maybe it’s his fridge. The play’s two actors take you on a high-energy farcical journey from panic buying to Jackie Weaver, with an unhealthy dose of British gusto thrown in – a searing and absurdist trip into Joe’s mind that ridicules British officialdom’s manic pandemic response.
