English Symphony Orchestra – Visions of Italy

About the Show

The English Symphony Orchestra’s autumn concert of Elgar, Mendelssohn and Britten met with considerable acclaim. They return in the New Year with two concerts as part of their Journeys and Discoveries season. Visions of Italy opens with Respighi’s colourful Ancient Airs and Dances and ends with Tchaikovsky’s beautiful Souvenir de Florence. In between we hear soloist Zoë Beyers in Mendelssohn’s early D minor Violin Concerto.
