Oedipus and Antigone

Oedipus is a murder-mystery in its most twisted of forms. Thebes is suffering from a brutal plague. The gods demand that the killer of the old king Laius must be brought to justice. King Oedipus steps forward to uncover the truth, but in doing so reveals a nightmarish prophecy decades in the making… Years later, Antigone tells the story of Oedipus’ children. Eteocles and Polyneices have killed each other fighting for the crown. The State rules that Polyneices be left to rot, while Eteocles is given full burial honours. Whoever disobeys this order will be punished with death. In defiance, Antigone stands alone against the State, challenging the power of the law with the unwritten law of the gods…
