The screen-to-stage musical stars Tamsin Greig
The West End premiere production of Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown will close at the Playhouse Theatre on Saturday 23 May 2015. It had recently extended until 22 August.
The show, which opened on 12 January 2015 (17 December 2014), received two Olivier nominations for Best Actress in a Musical for Tamsin Greig and Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for Haydn Gwynne.
The musical, which adapted from Pedro Almodóvar's 1988 film, is written by David Yazbek and Jeffrey Lane (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and directed by Tony Award-winner Bartlett Sher.
The story revolves around a professional movie dubber (Greig) who discovers unsavoury secrets about her married lover after he abruptly abandons her.
The cast also includes Ricardo Afonso, Marianne Benedict, Seline Hizli, Holly James, Michael Matus, Rebecca McKinnis, Sarah Moyle, Alastair Natkiel, Haydn Oakley, Jérôme Pradon, Nuno Queimado, Dale Rapley, Anna Skellern, and Willemijn Verkaik.
