The pair of Tony Award nominees performed a selection of numbers
Nicole Scherzinger and Tom Francis recently took part in NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series.
The two are currently starring in Jamie Lloyd’s revival of Sunset Boulevard as Norma Desmond and Joe Gillis, respectively. The hit production started life in the West End (picking up WhatsOnStage Awards and Olivier Awards a-plenty) before heading stateside, where last week it received seven Tony Award nominations, including for the two performers. It is the most nominated revival of the season.
Scherzinger performed showstoppers “With One Look” and “As If We Never Said Goodbye”, while Francis, stationary for once, delivered the title tune.
They came together for “The Perfect Year”, with Francis on guitar.
The concert also spotlights music director Alan Williams on keys, Justin Rothberg on guitar, Pete Donovan on bass, Joe Nero on drums, Annaliesa Place on violin, Philip Payton on violin, Todd Low on viola, and Sarah Hewitt-Roth on cello. Watch it below:
Sunset Boulevard continues its limited run at the St James Theater until 13 July 2025.
The Tony Awards, hosted by Cynthia Erivo, will take place on 8 June.
