James Corden returned to present the Tony Awards for the second time this year, and delivered yet another huge showstopper opening number.

Hadestown, Anaïs Mitchell's musical which opened at the National Theatre in November 2018, led the way with eight wins at the awards ceremony, while The Ferryman, which first premiered at London's Royal Court, took home four awards including Best Play and Best Director for Sam Mendes.

Corden also tried to stir up some drama at the Tony Awards by creating fake controversy between some of the stars, with Laura Linney and Audra McDonald almost coming to blows during the video skit below.
