The National Theatre’s production of War Horse, was broadcast live for the first time last night as part of National Theatre Live. The performance was watched live by over 155,000 people in cinemas across the UK.

Hosted by Nicholas Hytner and Nick Starr, the National Theatre Live screening of War Horse marked the first theatre production to be broadcast live in 4K for the screening at the Curzon Cinema in Chelsea; this version will be available as a 4K DCP, allowing many 4K-enabled cinemas to show encore screenings at a later date.
