Casting announcements have been made today for two West End productions, with Stranger Things: The First Shadow and Beetlejuice both revealing additions to their companies.

Stranger Things: The First Shadow has announced that Paddy Bever will join the production as protagonist Henry Creel from 12 June. The casting was revealed through the show’s social media channels, introducing Bever as the latest performer to take on the role at the Phoenix Theatre.

Henry Creel is one of the central figures in the stage prequel, which is set in Hawkins in 1959 and explores events before the story seen in the television series. Bever is known for his screen work and joins the company as the production continues performances in London.

Elsewhere, Beetlejuice has announced Daisy Harrison will join the show as standby Lydia Deetz. The news comes the day after the hit musical had its first performance at the Prince Edward Theatre, where it is playing until April 2027 for a limited season.

Lydia Deetz is one of the musical’s central characters and serves as the audience’s entry point into the story, adapted from Tim Burton’s film of the same name.
