Anita Dobson and Stephanie Cole will take to the stage at Theatre Royal Bath later this year
Theatre Royal Bath has announced its full Summer season, with She Stoops to Conquer and Alan Bennett's Talking Heads joining the previously announced Mrs Henderson Presents.
Anita Dobson will star in Lindsay Posner's production of She Stoops to Conquer, running from 1-18 July. Oliver Goldsmith's 1773 comedy is filled with comic characters, misunderstandings, mischief and mayhem.
Anita Dobson, who will play Mrs Hardcastle, is best known for playing Angie Watts in Eastenders. Her stage credits include Hamlet, Bette and Joan and The Merry Wives of Windsor.
She Stoops to Conquer will be followed by Alan Bennett's Talking Heads, running from 22 July to 8 August. Sarah Esdaile's production will feature three of the original monologues from the TV series which started in 1988.
Stephanie Cole, who appeared in the first series of Talking Heads, will revisit it on stage for the first time. The stage version will include A Cream Cracker under the Settee, A Chip in the Sugar and A Lady of Letters.
The season concludes with Mrs Henderson Presents, running from 14 August to 5 September, which also announced casting today.
