Is your child the next Jimi Hendrix, Dave Grohl or Lemmy? If so then you might want to sign them up for an audition for London's next hit musical School of Rock, which has officially announced its West End premiere for October.

An audition notice posted on Twitter says that producers are looking for 'brilliantly talented children who can sing, act and play rock instruments.'

It claims that 22,000 children auditioned for the Broadway production which is currently playing at the Winter Garden Theatre starring Alex Brightman and Sierra Boggess.

According to the notice, children must be aged 8-12 years-old and under 5ft. Auditionees need to be strong actors and singers with 'unbroken gospel/rock/pop voices'. They are specifically looking for children who either play the guitar, bass and/or drums to a high standard.

Auditions will be held in London and children of all ethnicities, from across the UK are encouraged to apply.

School of Rock is based on the film of the same name which originally starred Jack Black and follows a failed, wannabe rock star trying to earn some extra money by posing as a substitute teacher.
