The musical makes its UK premiere in London at the end of the month
Photos have been released showing the cast of Rothschild & Sons onstage ahead of the show's opening at the Park Theatre.
The musical, which is making its UK premiere, was created by Broadway lyricist Sheldon Harnick and composer Jerry Bock (Fiddler on the Roof, She Loves Me) and Tony Award-nominated writer Sherman Yellen. It originally opened on Broadway in 1970 as The Rothschilds, and won two Tony Awards.
Based on Frederic Morton's The Rothschilds, the musical tells the story of a family that risks everything to gain fame and fortune, tracing their lives from the Jewish ghettos in Munich through to becoming one of the biggest banking families in the world.
The piece stars School of Rock's Gary Trainor, Tony Award-nominee Robert Cuccioli and Glory Crampton (Phantom of the Opera).
Rothschild & Sons runs at the Park Theatre from 29 January to 17 February, with previews from now.
