The West End pantomime was a spectacle to behold at the London Palladium
It was a glittery festive evening last night at the Palladium in the West End for the opening night of Dick Whittington.
Robert Lindsay, Beverley Knight, Paul O'Grady, Cameron Mackintosh, Andrew Lloyd Webber and more were all in attendance on the night, which marks the second year since pantomime returned to the Palladium after Cinderella last Christmas.
Perhaps the most lavish show in all the land, the performance has an all-star cast including Elaine Paige, Julian Clary, Nigel Havers, Charlie Stemp and many more. The plot follows lead character Dick as he bids to become the Mayor of London, and purge the city of rats. In our review of the show, writer Daisy Bowie-Sell described the spectacle as "the slinkiest, sparkliest and sauciest of pantos in the capital".
Dick Whittington runs at the London Palladium until 14 January.
