Images have been released showing the cast of The Rise and Fall of Little Voice in rehearsals ahead of opening at the Birmingham Rep on 15 May.

A co-production between West Yorkshire Playhouse and Birmingham Repertory Theatre, it opens in Birmingham on 15 May before transferring to the Playhouse on 5 June.

Nancy Sullivan stars as LV, a painfully shy girl with a bold and beautiful voice, whose blowsy mother Mari (Vicky Entwistle), shrieks and shouts her way around the house, all-the-while Chris Gascoyne's Ray Say engineers his escape from small town showbiz to the bright lights of the big-time.

The cast also features Joanna Brookes, Brendan Charleson and Tendayi Jembere.
