What would you like to see her in next?

Rachel Zegler has more than earned her flowers.
She received the fan-voted WhatsOnStage Award for her West End debut in Evita, and now can add the Olivier Award to her mantelpiece. And it seems like her year is only just beginning!
“I feel so blessed, so amazing. I can’t believe this is my life.”
In her acceptance speech, she noted that she pushed her long-time agent to put her forward for the Jamie Lloyd-directed revival, the moment she knew it was happening.
“I auditioned,” she confirms, “So it was one of those things where I just really wanted to do well in singing the score for Alan [Williams, music director], for Jamie [Lloyd], and I couldn’t believe that they said, yes.
“I just felt so lucky, because this is just such a titanic part that you just desperately want to play. So, I feel very lucky that I got to do it.”
Having risen in public consciousness for her film debut as Maria in West Side Story, and since playing Snow White in Disney’s live-action movie, we couldn’t resist asking if she had her eye on any movie musicals at the moment – particularly with so many rumours swirling.

“Here’s hoping,” she laughed with a wink. When questioned about her ominous Instagram post featuring the term Octet, now confirmed to be Lin-Manuel Miranda’s next directorial project, she didn’t deny any involvement, instead acknowledging the speculation: “People really love to ask about that…”
Coincidentally, Zegler recently told Harper’s Bazaar that she has been listening to a cast recording to prepare for her next screen role…
On her Instagram story, Zegler has now confirmed that she is leaving London to start filming another project. Details are yet to be revealed, but we can’t wait.
