A new play from Mischief Theatre alumni will premiere in London.

Written and performed by Laura Kirman and Meg Travers, Meat Cute will be directed by Nancy Zamit with associate creative director Jess Mabel Jones.

The piece follows two women as they struggle with the pressures of modern womanhood and the expectation to have it all together in their 30s. It is described as “a platonic rom-com about falling in friendship”.

Kirman and Travers both met working on stage, and their relationship was formed in the unfiltered moments in the wings. The two first met Zamit while performing with Mischief Theatre.

Meat Cute will play at The Other Palace Studio from 16 to 20 June.
