Tim Firth and Gary Barlow's musical The Girls opened in the West End last night with a special 'green carpet' reception at the Phoenix Theatre.

Stars at the event included Pixie Lott, Martin Kemp, Evelyn Hoskins and Elaine Paige.

The musical stars Joanna Riding, Claire Moore, Claire Machin and Debbie Chazen is the story about a group of women who pose for a nude calendar to raise money for charity.

The Girls won the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Regional Production at this weekend's awards ceremony.

In a review for WhatsOnStage, Holly Williams said The Girls 'blossoms into a feel-good hit'.
