Tom Morris’ contemporary production has arrived in London

First look photos have been released for the new production of Othello.
Shakespeare’s epic tale of manipulation, jealousy and toxic masculinity features music by PJ Harvey. This is the first of a series of contemporary Shakespeare productions created by Tom Morris for Chris Harper Productions to be staged in the West End over the next five years.
David Harewood stars in the title role, with Toby Jones as Iago and Caitlin FitzGerald as Desdemona, Vinette Robinson as Emilia and Luke Treadaway as Cassio. Harewood returns to the role after being the first Black actor to play Othello at the National Theatre in 1997.

Othello runs at Theatre Royal Haymarket until 17 January 2026, with a press night set for 4 November.
