Two of the three connected yet stand-alone plays which make up Alan Ayckbourn’s Norman Conquests launch the 2012 summer theatre season at Sheringham’s Little Theatre. They run in repertoire between 5 July (when Table Manners opens) and 4 August with the chance to see both plays in one day on 28 July and 4 August (Round and Round the Garden opens on 18 July). Richard Earl stars as Norman and Helen Leblique directs.
Theatre director Debbie Thompson sees the opening productions in particular as a contribution to the Cultural Olympiad and a nod to London 2012.”It’s a challenge”, she agrees, “but all these plays should offer something for everyone”.
