The production begins its tour in Croydon in November
It has been announced that the classic musical Miracle on 34th Street will return for a UK tour later this month.
The production, based on the popular 1947 Christmas film of the same name, will begin its tour at Croydon’s Fairfield Halls on Thursday 29 October 2015.
The cast features Danny Lane as Kris Kringle, Hannah Thompson as Susan Walker, Claire Hawkins as Doris Walker, Carl Lindquist as Fred Gaily, Michael Adams as R.H Macy and Brendan Matthew as Marvin Shellhammer.
They will be joined by Joanna Gregory, Emily Barnett-Salter, Charlotte Jay, Jessica Lucy, Kate Hulme, Jack Warren, Frank Derrington, Dann Kharsa, Toby Joyce and David Muscat.
Miracle on 34th Street follows the story of a young New Yorker, Susan, as she meets Kris Kringle, a kindly old bearded man who claims to be the real Santa Claus.
The film originally starred Maureen O'Hara and John Payne with a popular remake released in 1994 starring Richard Attenborough as Kris Kringle.
Miracle on 34th Street is directed by Max Reynolds with book, music and lyrics by Meredith Willson and choreographey by Russell Smith and Philip Joel. It is produced by Paul Taylor-Mills Ltd.
The show opens in Croydon on 29 October and then tours to Lancaster (1 to 2 Nov), Rhyl (3 to 4 Nov), Billingham (5 to 7 Nov), Lincoln (9 to 11 Nov), Newcastle (12 to 14 Nov), Tunbridge Wells (17 to 18 Nov), Glasgow, 19 to 21 Nov), Manchester (23 to 25 Nov), Chesterfield (26 to 28 Nov), Cardiff (1 to 5 Dec), Eastbourne (9 to 12 Dec), Worthing (14 to 17 Dec), Peterborough (18 to 19 Dec) and Watford (21 to 28 Dec).
