Dean Strang and Jerry Buting, the two lawyers who fought for Steven Avery in Netflix docuseries ”Making a Murderer”, will be in conversation in October
Dean Strang and Jerry Buting, the defence attorneys for Steven Avery, will appear in conversation at the London Palladium, it has been announced.
The two lawyers were seen on the Netflix series Making a Murderer, a docuseries about Avery, who was convicted of the murder of Teresa Halbach in 2007.
The London date is the latest in a tour from the lawyers, who will discuss the US criminal justice system. Part of the night will also be a question and answer session where audience members can question the lawyers directly.
Wisconsin lawyers Strang and Buting became unlikely heroes after the airing of the TV series, which was released in December 2015.
The series was filmed over the course of ten years and showed the release of Avery, following 18 years in prison, after a conviction for sexual assault and attempted murder was overturned in 2003. The docuseries showed how Avery was subsequently charged with the murder of photographer Halbach.
A Conversation on Making a Murderer runs at the London Palladium on October 23.
