Linda Marlowe cast in gender-blind A Midsummer Night's Dream at Wilton's Music Hall

Award-winning ensemble The Faction present their unique take on Shakespeare’s comedy

Casting has been announced for A Midsummer Night's Dream, which opens at Wilton's Music Hall later this month.

Linda Marlowe – best known for her roles in EastEnders, Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and as Steven Berkoff's 'muse' – will take on the role of Puck and Egeus.

She will be joined by Lowri Izzard (Votes For Women) as Hermia/Starveling/Cobweb, Christopher Hughes (Pure O) as Philostrate/Bottom, Christopher York (Macbeth, Creation Theatre) as Demetrius/Snout/Mustardseed, Laura Evelyn (Silent Witness, BBC) as Helena/Snug/Moth, Jeremy Ang Jones (Harry Potter and The Cursed Child) as Lysander/Flute/Peaseblossom, Tamarin McGinley (Our Town, Kings Head Theatre) as Hippolyta/Titania and Herb Cuanalo (Mary Stuart) as Theseus/Quince/Oberon.

Directed by Mark Leipacher the piece is presented by award-winning ensemble The Faction, with design by Eleanor Field, lighting by Ben Jacobs and sound by Yaiza Varona.
