
Lead casting for the new tour of Annie has been revealed.
Charles Strouse, Martin Charnin and Thomas Meehan’s seminal musical follows a young orphan who is adopted by a billionaire, much to the chagrin of her orphanage’s owner. The show features much-loved numbers such as “It’s the Hard Knock Life”, “Easy Street”, “I Don’t Need Anything But You” and “Tomorrow”.
The revival is directed by Curve’s artistic director Nikolai Foster with set and costume design by Colin Richmond, choreography by Nick Winston, lighting by Ben Cracknell and sound design by Richard Brooker.
Strictly and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star La Voix will assume the role of Miss Hannigan, joined by Alex Bourne as Daddy Warbucks.
It has run in the West End and on tour, with names including the late, great Paul O’Grady, Miranda Hart and Craig Revel Horwood playing Miss Hannigan.
The tour will open in Wimbledon on 23 May 2026, before visiting Birmingham, Manchester, Plymouth, Canterbury, Cardiff, Milton Keynes, Blackpool, Newcastle, Dublin, Bristol, Nottingham, Hull, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Truro, Cheltenham, Stoke-on-Trent, Crawley, Belfast, Aberdeen, Woking, Bradford, and a festive season in Oxford.
Into 2027, the show will visit Sunderland, Southampton, Norwich, Wolverhampton, Sheffield, Glasgow, and Leicester.
La Voix will be appearing Wimbledon, Birmingham, Manchester, Plymouth and Canterbury, with casting for the role of Miss Hannigan from Cardiff onwards, and full company, to be announced soon.
