The American actress will return to the West End for the third time in Stephen Sachs’ comedy-drama, which opens at the Duchess Theatre on 10 May
Broadway actress Kathleen Turner will return to the West End later this year, starring in the European premiere of Stephen Sachs' Bakersfield Mist from May.
Turner will play opposite Ian McDiarmid in the two-hander comedy, which tells the story of a woman who buys a painting for $3 that she comes to believe is an original Jackson Pollock worth millions.
The play will run at the Duchess Theatre from 10 May to 30 August 2014, following West End transfers of Beckett trilogy Not I, Footfalls, Rockaby and musical Tell Me On A Sunday from the Royal Court and St James Theatre respectively.
Kathleen Turner returns to the West End following runs in The Graduate and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. Her Broadway stage credits include Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and High, and she is about to star in Mother Courage and Her Children in Washington. Her film and TV credits include Body Heat, Peggy Sue Got Married, Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Friends.
