Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will become a single-part production in the West End from autumn 2026, following ten years as a two-part play at the Palace Theatre.

Producers Sonia Friedman Productions, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions have confirmed that the play will evolve into its reimagined one-part version, running for two hours and 55 minutes including one interval. The new format will reopen at the Palace Theatre on 6 October 2026.

The current two-part production will continue to play in London until 20 September 2026, marking the final performances of the original staging as part of the show’s tenth anniversary year.

The shift brings the West End production in line with the version now staged internationally, including on Broadway, where the one-part format was introduced in 2021.
