Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown opened at the Playhouse Theatre last night, with guests including Graham Norton and Lesley Manville joining cast members Tamsin Greig, Haydn Gwynne, Anna Skellern and Willemijn Verkaik to celebrate the show's press night.

The musical, which premiered on Broadway in 2010, is adapted from Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar's Oscar-nominated 1988 film of the same name. The story revolves around a professional movie dubber who discovers unsavoury secrets about her married lover after he abruptly abandons her.

Guests at the press night included Samantha Bond – recently seen in another Yazbek/Lane production, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels – who was sat in front of us with her family including actor husband Alexander Hanson. She tweeted:
