David Harewood, Ruth Wilson, Gemma Arterton and Douglas Hodge will all feature in the short film series from Shakespeare’s Globe
Further casting has been announced for Shakespeare's Globe's series of short films.
Joining the already announced cast will be David Harewood as Othello; Ruth Wilson as Helena in All's Well That Ends Well; Gemma Arterton reprising her role as Rosaline in Love's Labour's Lost alongside David Dawson; Toby Jones as Falstaff in Henry IV PII and Douglas Hodge as Prospero in The Tempest.
Alex Jennings will star in Hamlet (filmed at Elsinore) with Michelle Terry, Nikesh Patel and Ashley Zhangaza. Eve Best will play Kate in Taming of the Shrew and Lindsay Duncan will star alongside Wilson in All's Well That Ends Well.
The rest of the already announced cast includes Simon Russell Beale, Dominic West, Meera Syal and Peter Capaldi.
The films will be screened along London's South Bank and in other locations nationwide over the weekend of the 23 and 24 April.
Artistic director of Shakespeare's Globe Dominic Dromgoole said: "We are hugely lucky and privileged to be able to work with a line-up of such extraordinary Shakespearean actors, and to be able to give these films away to the public for free over the weekend of 23 April, as we also bring our tour of Hamlet home from its journey to every country on earth."
