Sheridan Smith will continue in the role of Fanny Brice in the UK tour
Full casting has been announced for the upcoming tour of Funny Girl, starring Sheridan Smith.
Joining Sheridan on the tour is Chris Peluso as Nick Arnstein, who will perform with Smith in Manchester, Milton Keynes, Liverpool, Bristol, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Newcastle, Southampton, Bradford, Southend, Cardiff and Dublin. The show will return to Manchester for a further two weeks where Smith and Peluso will also perform.
Natasha J Barnes and Darius Campbell will play Fanny Brice and Nick Arnstein in Stoke, Aberdeen, Woking, Canterbury, Glasgow, Notthingham, Norwich, Llandudno, Wolverhampton and Plymouth.
The leads are joined by a cast including Nigel Barber (Florenz Ziegfeld), Zoë Ann Bown (Mrs. Meeker), Martin Callaghan (Mr. Keeney), Jennifer Harding (Emma), Rachel Izen (Mrs Brice), Joshua Lay (Eddie) and Myra Sands (Mrs. Strakosh).
Also starring in the show are Rhianne Alleyne, Kit Benjamin, Lloyd Davies, Flora Dawson, Joseph Dockree, Abigayle Honeywill, Brontë Lavine, David Mcintosh, Peter Nash, Gillian Parkhouse, Tom Partridge, Nova Skipp, Alexandra Waite-Roberts, Sam Wingfield and Alexandra Wright.
Funny Girl is Jule Styne, Bob Merrill and Isobel Lennart's musical about the real-life figure of Fanny Brice who rose from the music halls of Brooklyn to become a Broadway star. The role was made famous by Barbra Streisand and the musical features songs including "Don't Rain on My Parade" and "People".
Michael Mayer directs the production which originally opened at the Menier Chocolate Factory before transferring to the Savoy Theatre in the West End. Smith has received rave reviews of her portrayal of Fanny Brice.
Funny Girl runs at Manchester Palace from 18 to 25 February, before touring the UK.
