Five Reasons to See… Charlie & Lola’s Extremely New Play

Following the hit Charlie and Lola’s Best Bestest Play, Charlie and Lola are back live on stage in a theatrical experience based on the well-loved BBC series created by Lauren Child. It runs at the Polka Theatre from 27 April – 17 August 2013.

1. Charlie and Lola live on stage!
From page, to screen, to stage – Charlie and Lola have done it all! Charlie and Lola’s Extremely New Play is a chance to see everyone’s favourite brother and sister, based on the well-loved BBC TV characters, live on stage! The theatre experience feels very different to watching a TV episode – the world of Charlie and Lola might even come out into the audience!

2. An Extremely New adventure
After Polka’s international hit Charlie and Lola’s Best Bestest play, Charlie and Lola are back in a brand new adventure! This time we meet Charlie’s best friend Marv and Lola’s best friend Lotta. Audiences will also join Charlie and Lola out of the house, in the park and at school.

3. Sizzles is the star!
We know how much audiences love Sizzles the sausage dog, who according to Lola, ‘can do anything!’ So, in Charlie and Lola’s Extremely New Play, Sizzles has a starring role – he might even be pulling some very special tricks out of the bag…

4. Experience all the seasons in one day
In Charlie and Lola’s Extremely New Play, Charlie and Lola are taken on a magical journey through the seasons to discover that everything is different and not the same. You can experience the sunshine of summer, falling leaves of autumn and the chilly ‘brrrrs!’ of winter all in one day!

5. Have your picture taken with Charlie and Lola
A little sausage dog tells us that Charlie and Lola might even be available for a few photographs before the show… wait and see!
