Laurence Boswell's production of The Mentor opened at the Vaudeville Theatre last night following a run earlier this year at Theatre Royal Bath.

Daniel Kehlmann's play stars F Murray Abraham in the role of Benjamin Rubin, a playwright who is being paid to mentor an emerging writer.

Guests at the opening night included Kehlmann, translator Christopher Hampton, and actor Steve Pemberton.

The Mentor runs at Vaudeville Theatre from 4 July to 2 September with previews from 24 June.
