The show marks the brand-new Emerald Theatre’s inaugural production

The team behind Diamonds and Dust at the brand-new Emerald Theatre have put out a statement as they cancel performances through to September.
The burlesque show, which opened this summer featured (on certain dates) superstar Dita Von Teese, alongside her castmate and business partner Tosca Rivola and Steps favourite Faye Tozer.
Diamonds and Dust presents the untold story of the Wild West’s most notorious card dealer as she makes her way in a man’s world while trying her hand at taming Lady Luck for herself. Set in a hazy saloon, it is described as “a tale of the good, the bad, and the lucky.” It features performers from the West End and the worlds of burlesque and circus, with Von Teese taking on the role of Lady Luck at certain performances and Tozer starring as Miss Kitty LeRoy.
The show’s American producers released a statement today on its social media channels, saying: “We are heartbroken to share that due to ongoing work on both show and venue, we will only be able to re-open starting 18 September to kick off our fall season.
“This isn’t a decision we made lightly, and we know how disappointing this news is – especially for those who’ve supported us from the very beginning. We’re an independent production and theatre pushing to keep the burlesque art form alive in London, both for our bustling performer community and our lovely audiences. Burlesque and cabaret houses have been closing all of the world, and it is our mission preserve our rich tradition.
“Despite the growing pains, we will be back bolder and brighter! All ticket holders will be contacted directly today with options, and our DMs are open for additional assistance, questions and solutions.”
The show received a positive review from WhatsOnStage, being described as “a glittering celebration, with a wonderful array of performers who embody confidence, style and empowerment.”
