The Chichester Festival Theatre production of Goodnight Mister Tom
by the Children’s Touring Partnership which is currently playing at London’s Phoenix
Theatre for a limited 9 week season arrives in Manchester later this month.

Olivier award-winner Oliver Ford Davies will reprise his role as Mister Tom and the piece is adapted from Michelle Magorian’s novel by David Wood. Goodnight Mister Tom
follows the story of the sad William Beech, who is evacuated to the
idyllic English countryside and builds a remarkable and moving
friendship with the elderly recluse Tom Oakley. All seems perfect until
William is devastatingly summoned by his mother back to London.

The production, which originally toured between February and May last year, will be directed by Angus Jackson.

The
tour will opens on 29 January 2013 at the Manchester Opera House and runs until 2 February.
