Casting announced for work-in-progress musical The Little Beasts at The Other Palace

Casting has been announced for work-in-progress musical at The Other Palace, The Little Beasts.

With a music by Luke Bateman and a book and lyrics by Michael Conley, the story follows a selfish young girl who runs away from home and discovers a magical world. It's populated by animals who used to be naughty children. Given the task of freeing one of the animals, the little girl must decide which of the animals has learnt its lesson.

Jamie Hinde directs the piece which involves innovative puppetry and is suitable for children aged seven-plus.

Laura Baldwin (Peter Pan, Gordon Craig Theatre) will play Sam, and Sebastien Torkia (The Wild Party) will play the Man in Black.

The cast also includes Nina Bell, Oliver Evans, Tyler Fagan and Seyi Omooba.

The Little Beasts] runs at The Other Palace from 14 to 29 July.
