Casting announced for When We Were Women
Casting has been announced for Eleanor Rhode's production of When We Were Women, which opens at the Orange Tree Theatre in September.
Abigail Lawrie makes her stage debut after appearing in JK Rowling's The Casual Vacancy on BBC One. She will be joined by Lorraine Pilkington (Monarch of the Glen, Outnumbered), Mark Edel-Hunt (Chariots of Fire, Call the Midwife) and Sarah-Jayne Butler (Thark, This House).
First seen at the National Theatre in 1988, Sharman Macdonald's play is an evocative portrayal of family life in Second World War Glasgow.
The play is made in collaboration with Orange Tree and Snapdragon Productions.
When We Were Women opens at the Orange Tree Theatre 3 September 2015.
