Full casting has been announced for Lawrence After Arabia, a new play by Howard Brenton.

Jack Laskey will play T.E. Lawrence while Jeff Rawle will play George Bernard Shaw and Geraldine James will star as Charlotte Shaw. Sam Alexander will play Lowell Thomas, William Chubb plays Field Marshall Edmund Allenby, Khalid Laith plays Prince Feisal and Rosalind March plays Blanche Patch.

The play is being directed by John Dove and looks at the time T.E. Lawrence hid at the home of his friend George Bernard Shaw to avoid his worldwide fame.

Lawrence After Arabia has been commissioned by Hampstead Theatre to mark the centenary of the start of the Arab revolt. It will be the first time Brenton has written for the theatre since Drawing the Line 55 Days and The Arrest of Ai Weiwei.

Lawrence After Arabia runs at Hampstead Theatre from 5 May to 4 June.
