Cast set for Troilus and Cressida at Shakespeare’s Globe

Shakespeare’s Globe has announced the cast and creative team for Troilus and Cressida, directed by Owen Horsley, who makes his Globe debut with the production. The play runs from 26 September to 26 October in the Globe Theatre.

Set during the Trojan War, the play follows the doomed love affair between Troilus and Cressida against a backdrop of shifting allegiances, political manoeuvring and ancient rivalries.

The cast includes Oliver Alvin-Wilson as Hector and Calchas, Tilly Botsford in the ensemble and as cover, David Caves as Achilles, Conor Glean as Diomedes, Kasper Hilton-Hille as Troilus, Jonathan Livingstone as Agamemnon, Tadeo Martinez as Patroclus and Alexander, Lucy McCormick as Thersites and Helen, Jodie McNee as Ulysses and Cassandra, Charlotte O’Leary as Cressida, Finn O’Riordain in the ensemble and as cover, Matthew Spencer as Paris and Menelaus, Samantha Spiro as Pandarus and Nestor, and Ibraheem Toure as Ajax.

The production is designed by Ryan Dawson Laight, with Christophe Eynde as associate designer, Roberta Zuric as associate director, Eamonn O’Dwyer as composer, Rachel Brown-Williams and Ruth Cooper-Brown of RC Annie providing fight and intimacy direction, Daniel Hay-Gordon as movement director and Emma Woodvine as voice and text coach.

Becky Paris, head of casting at Shakespeare’s Globe, cast the production.
