Cast for new musical Coven revealed

Kiln Theatre has announced the cast and creative team for Coven, a new musical with music and lyrics by Daisy Chute and Rebecca Brewer, and a book by Brewer. Directed by Miranda Cromwell, the production will run from 31 October to 20 December 2025, with a press night on 11 November. The run has been extended.

The cast includes Allyson Ava-Brown as Nell and Elizabeth, Rachel Barnes, Gabrielle Brooks as Jenet, Shiloh Coke as Frances and Alizon, Rosalind Ford as King James, Penny Layden as Martha and Judge, Holly Mallett, Lauryn Redding as Rose, Kathryn Tindall, Diana Vickers as Edmund and Covell, Jacinta Whyte as Maggie and Jennifer Whyte as Keys. Continues below. 

The creative team features Jasmine Swan as set and costume designer, Zeynep Kepekli as lighting designer, Helen Atkinson as sound designer, Jennifer Whyte as musical supervisor, Shelley Maxwell as choreographer, Laura Cubitt as puppetry director, Rosie Pearson for Pearson Casting as casting director, Tom Wright as dramaturg and Hazel Holder as voice coach.

Set in 1612 in Pendle, Lancashire, the story follows Jennet, who as a child accused her own family of witchcraft. Two decades later, she faces accusations herself and must reckon with the legacy of the witch trials.
