The pantomime will be directed by the venue’s associate director Pooja Ghai
The full cast has been announced for Theatre Royal Stratford East's annual pantomime, which opens at the venue on 7 December.
The venue will present Rapunzel, with book and lyrics by Trish Cooke and music and lyrics by Robert Hyman.
Raj Bajaj (Lions and Tigers), Michael Bertenshaw (The Merchant of Venice), Stephen Hoo (The Sugar-Coated Bullets of the Bourgeoisie), Juliet Okotie (Chicken Palace), Gemma Salter (Made in Dagenham), Joanne Sandi (Soul Sister ), Gary Wood (A Pacifist's Guide to the War on Cancer) and Julie Yammanee (Lazarus) form the ensemble.
Billed as a 'feisty' reimagining of the original Rapunzel fairytale, the show marks panto dame Bertenshaw's fourteenth appearance in a Stratford East panto.
The show will feature design by William Fricker, lighting design by Matt Daw, choreography by Wayne Parsons, and sound design from Andrew Johnson and Chris Murray.
Rapunzel runs at Theatre Royal Stratford East from 7 December to 13 January, with previews from 27 November.
