Full casting has been announced for Coriolanus, the final production of the RSC’s Rome season.

Haydn Gwynne (The Threepenny Opera, National Theatre) returns to the RSC after 11 years to play Volumnia, alongside the previously announced Sope Dirisu (One Night in Miami, Donmar Warehouse).

The cast will also feature RSC associate artist Paul Jesson (Menenius), Charles Aitken (Cominius), Tony Boncza (Senator), James Corrigan (Aufidius), Martina Laird (Junius Brutus), Hannah Morrish (Virgilia), Jackie Morrison (Sicinius Veletus) and Katherine Toy (Valeria).

Completing the company is Bally Gill, Robert Ginty, Ben Hall, Sean Hart, Geoffrey Lumb, Justine Marriott, Assad Zaman, Simon Yadoo, Christopher Middleton, Esther Niles and Rebecca Wingate.

Directed by Angus Jackson, Coriolanus joins the repertoire in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in September, and is cross cast with Julius Caesar, Antony and Cleopatra and Titus Andronicus.

Coriolanus runs at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre from 15 September to 14 October 2017, and at the Barbican from 6 to 18 November.
