The cast of the UK tour of Of Mice and Men has been unveiled, before the show opens at the Marlowe Canterbury in January.

Richard Keightley (The Mousetrap) will play George alongside Matthew Wynn (Hamlet, Almeida) as Lennie. They will be joined on stage by Andrew Boyer (Candy), Cameron Robertson (Slim), Darren Bancroft (Carlson), Kevin Mathurin (Crooks), Harry Egan (Whit), Kamran Darabi Ford (Curley), Rosemary Boyle (Curley’s Wife), and Robert Ashe (The Boss).

John Steinbeck's novella, written in 1937 and now studied on the UK curriculum, tells the story of George and Lennie, two migrant workers who dream of owning their own ranch. The text, which was listed at number 52 of the "nation's best loved novels" on the BBC's The Big Read survey, celebrates its 80th anniversary this year.

The show, which tours for ten weeks throughout the spring, will be directed by Guy Unsworth with design by David Woodhead, lighting design from Bretta Gerecke, sound design from Ben Grant, with Mark Aspinall as composer and Sinead O’Keefe as movement director.

Of Mice and Men opens at Marlowe Theatre Canterbury on 29 January before touring to Northampton, Mold, Glasgow, Salisbury, Brighton, Wimbledon, Tumbridge Wells, Manchester and Swansea.
