Andrew Scott joins Kristin Scott Thomas for opening night of Electra at the Old Vic

Sophocles' Electra opened at the Old Vic last night with Kristin Scott Thomas leading the cast in the title role alongside Liz White (Chrysothemis), Olivier Award-winning Jack Lowden (Orestes), Diana Quick (Clytemnestra), Golda Rosheuvel, Thalissa Teixeira and Peter Wight.

Guests at the opening night included Helen McCrory, fresh from her run as another tragic Greek heroine, Medea at the National, Sherlock star Andrew Scott and Bill Nighy who will soon be taking his latest theatrical project, Skylight, across the pond for a Broadway run.
