Guests including Derek Jacobi, Kenneth Branagh and David Walliams descended on the Noel Coward Theatre last night as Nicole Kidman returned to the London stage following a 17 year hiatus.

Kidman stars in the UK première of Anna Ziegler's play Photograph 51 directed by Michael Grandage, which tells the story of Rosalind Franklin, the British scientist who helped discover the structure of DNA. You can read Theo Bosanquet's review from last night here.

Other guests included Dawn French – whose show 30 Million Minutes which opens in the West End in November is also directed by Michael Grandage – Olympic diver Tom Daley and Kidman's husband country music singer Keith Urban.

Photograph 51 runs at the Noel Coward Theatre until 21 November.
