Alfie Webster’s solo show Ienny. will transfer to the Omnibus Theatre later this year.

The piece, written and performed by Webster, was first seen in 2023 at Theatre503, where it played a sold-out run. Directed by Fringe First winner Sarah Stacey, the new run will begin previews on 16 September, with an opening night on 19 September, and continue until 4 October.

Developed through the Royal Court’s Introduction to Playwriting group, Ienny. explores themes of identity and masculinity. Webster plays Ienny, a man approaching thirty who realises he has spent too long on the sidelines of his own life. After an unsettling dream, Ienny tries to claim his place in the spotlight, but his new sense of purpose begins to twist into something darker.

Webster is known for performances in Stop Kiss at Above the Stag Theatre, Peter Pan at Park Theatre and Much Ado About Nothing on a UK tour. He trained at RADA and holds an MA in Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

WhatsOnStage Award winner and Emmy nominee Aimee Lou Wood is supporting the production, and said today: “I’m absolutely thrilled that my dear friend Alfie Webster is taking their special soloshow to the Omnibus Theatre, following a sold-out run at Theatre503.

“It’s a beautifully crafted play that examines what it means to find your place in a world as a generation cursed by the worry of being too much or too little, too big or too small, too young or too old. I can’t wait to watch it, and hope audiences come and feel as deeply connected to it as I do.”

Booking for Ienny. at Omnibus Theatre opens at 2pm today.
