Maybe we’ll see some deleted scenes in due course!

An array of former West End Glindas and Elphabas would have been on show in a now-cut scene from Wicked: For Good, it has been revealed.
Judging by the photos released and the captions beneath them, the scene looks like it took place between the opening number of Wicked: For Good and “Thank Goodness”, as Ariana Grande’s Glinda checks in with the Lullaby League of Munchkins on a train platform, accompanied by Michelle Yeoh’s Madame Morrible.
Cynthia Erivo, Grande, Jonathan Bailey and more all return for the new film, while famous numbers from act two include “For Good”, “As Long As You’re Mine” and “No Good Deed”. It is in cinemas now.
Snaps have featured former Wicked stars Kerry Ellis (who played Elphaba in the West End and on Broadway), Emily Tierney (who played Glinda on Wicked‘s tour and was also in the West End ensemble), Dianne Pilkington (who played Glinda in the West End) and Louise Dearman (former Elphaba AND Glinda in the West End).
Ellis does not confirm she was in the train platform scene, though we’ve yet to spot her elsewhere in the movie.
In fact, Ellis, Rachel Tucker and Dearman teased their involvement in a WhatsOnStage Podcast earlier this year, before the end product was unveiled. The trio will be taking their Gravity concert on tour early next year.
In the words of Pilkington: “Who knows, maybe deleted scenes might pop up?”
Of course – there are dozens of familiar faces for theatre fans in the films – we’ve even assembled a guide to help you spot them!
Social media has provided a treasure trove of behind-the-scenes content since Wicked: For Good‘s release, including shots with Bethany Weaver, who plays Dorothy in the film. In a social media post, Weaver says: “It’s been an honour to carry the legacy of the brilliant women before me who have stepped into these shoes, and embarked on the yellow brick road. I hope I have made them proud.”
